This chair is fantastic! Its soft, The Height doesn’t slide down when you sit on it, its fantastic. I wanted the BIg and Tall Chair because i’m 6’3 280 – the Chair says its rated for 350lbs, Got it May 5th and One of the Legs broke off Aug 22. They’re clearly rated for less than 350lbs.
Needless to say now I need to find a good diet and another comfortable sturdy chair that will support my weight.

I’d been shopping for a home office chair, and when I saw the equivalent AmazonBasics executive chair was only marginally less expensive, I decided to just jump on this. Figured at worst it couldn’t be of less value – and that turned out to be true. Assembly was straightforward, instructions clear, and the blister pack was simple and organized. Like others here, the box showed up looking like it had served several tours in Vietnam, but everything inside was intact and free from damage. The chair itself is HUGE. Which, for me, was a non issue but I don’t believe I’ve ever sat in or owned a chair as generous in proportion as this. The wood base and arms are decidedly upscale, and the adjustments work well. Very pleased.

I ordered 2 of these big and tall LaZBoy chairs and both arriveded defective. First one, the mechanism clicks and squeaks as you move the chair. I actually had another video but am only allowed one. There were additional issues other than what is shown in video that was sent. The second one, the arms did not line up with the screw sleeves. Cymax did credit me, but I am out the installer fee for putting these chairs together and deliver on one of them, to the tune of $175. I have sold many hundreds of LaZBoy office chairs for over 30 years. I quit when the office furniture department went down in quality when they opened the line up to anyone instead of only LaZBoy Authorized dealers. I won’t ever try one again.

I was unsure how this chair would work for me since it is a big and tall chair and I am just 5’11” and about 190. Prior to buying this chair, I had purchased the La-Z-Boy Bellamy. I had to return it because the “headrest” was hitting about the middle of my shoulders and was uncomfortable. This chair is just about perfect. Lots of padding in the seat, and the headrest, unlike so many office chairs, really is where my head is. It has moderate lumbar support, which is just right for me (others may like more lumbar but this works for my back). My only “wish” is that it would go a tad bit lower to the floor. Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase. I’ve been using this chair for about 3 months now.

If you’re expecting La-Z-Boy recliner comfort, this is not the chair that will provide it.
Base came with 2 of the 5 wheel support arms bashed in, and one of the arm rests was scratched, but this was obviously shipping damage, and likely would have occurred as the chair aged anyway.
The rear of the seat base is fairly stiff, would benefit from additional padding. The front of the seat supports the thighs very well. I’m considerably under the advertised weight limit, so I’m not compressing it to its max at all.
Relatively easy to assemble, even comes with the tool to do it! Most difficult part was lifting the heavy chair onto the base, this thing is HEAVY! That and aligning the armrest with the holes, and the unsettling noise the plastic in the chair makes as you tighten down those four screws.
Chair is VERY comfortable in the fully reclined position! Too bad you can’t work that way, but should be nice for short breaks between emails.
Lowest position on the chair is relatively high, definitely designed for ‘big and TALL’ people. Your feet may dangle if you’re under 5’6″
Overall not bad, but I’m glad I didn’t pay $500 for it. Comparable to other chairs in the $200-$350 price range.

This chair is super cushion-y and soft. I just want to point out that the back height ( from seat to top of chair) is not 29.75 inches. It’s more like 24 inches. I believe the manufacture measures the unassembled pieces. But once assembled, the back is a lot shorter than I was lead to believe. I’m a little disappointed because I prefer a really high back height but I will still keep the chair. I wouldn’t consider this a high back chair. More of a mid-back chair.

When you rate a product for a specific weight not only should the product hold up to the weight but also be comfortable. I am 390 lbs and my friend who also tested the chair is around 200 lbs. When sitting in this chair at first it feel pretty good but VERY quickly sinks down and all you feel is a metal place grinding into your tail bone. For the price, brand, and description of the chair I am very dissatisfied with the purchase.
