Meet Mars
Chef & Creator of Mars Recipes
Hi, I’m Mars โ a home cook, food lover, and the face behind Mars Recipes. I believe that great food doesn’t require a professional kitchen or fancy techniques. Just real ingredients, simple steps, and a little love.
Every recipe I share has been tested right here in my own kitchen โ because I only publish dishes I’m proud to serve my family. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned home cook, you’ll find something here that makes dinner feel special.
Welcome to the table. Let’s cook something amazing together.
I create easy, comforting, and reliable recipes for busy home cooks who want homemade meals without complicated steps, expensive tools, or hard-to-find ingredients.
About Mars Miller
Mars Miller is the home cook and recipe creator behind Mars Recipes. His approach is simple: no specialty grocery trips, no quietly skipped steps, no recipe that looks great in photos but falls apart the moment you actually try to cook it on a Tuesday night.
Mars Recipes grew out of a familiar frustration โ too many recipes online read well but don’t hold up in a real kitchen. So every dish here is built and re-tested with everyday ingredients, adjusted until the instructions genuinely match what happens when you follow them, not just how they photograph.
Through Mars Recipes, Mars shares practical, family-friendly dinners, honest cook times, and clear step-by-step instructions for everyday kitchens โ the kind of food meant to be made again, not just admired once.
How These Recipes Are Made
Most of the recipes here are developed and cooked in my own kitchen, and the photo you see is the dish I actually made. For a handful, I started from ingredient quantities published on well-known recipe sites and wrote the method and the article myself; those are illustrated with AI-generated images rather than a photo of my own. I also use AI tools to help draft and edit, but every recipe, ingredient list, temperature and cooking time is reviewed by me before it goes live.

The four promises behind every recipe on Mars Recipes
Weeknight-Ready
Most recipes on this site are ready in 30โ45 minutes. Life is busy. Great food shouldn't require half a Sunday afternoon.
Real Grocery Store Ingredients
Every ingredient can be found at Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Kroger, or Walmart. No specialty stores, no hard-to-find imports.
Family-Friendly Flavors
Bold enough to be interesting for adults, approachable enough that the whole table finishes their plate. Leftovers optional but encouraged.
Tested Until It Works
Every recipe is made in a real home kitchen โ not a professional test kitchen with perfect equipment. If it works here, it'll work in yours.
Our Promise to You
Recipes that are honest about the time they take, clear about the ingredients you need, and genuinely delicious when you follow them.
I don't post a recipe until I'm confident it's worth your time. If something has a tricky step, I'll warn you. If there's a great shortcut, I'll share it. If a budget substitution works just as well as the original, you'll know.
When you cook from Mars Recipes, you're cooking from a recipe that someone actually made, ate, and was proud of. That's the standard โ nothing less.
